Leprosy! by Nicole Marroquin

"Well, I can tell you this. If we report it, it's a fact."

"How can you guarantee that to me?"

"Because I'm the managing editor, and that's the way we do business," Dobbs replied. "We don't make up numbers, Lesley. Do we?"

Lou Dobbs reported a few weeks ago that in the past three years, over 7000 cases of leprosy were reported in the US. This he attributed to unscreened illegal immigrants. What is really rich is not that the figures are wrong (more like 7000 in 30 years) but that he got his figures from Madeline Cosman.

In another episode of supposed news, Lou Dobbs showed a map of Aztlan and claimed that he had verified the plot by Mexico to reclaim the southwest. Gas on the idiot fire. But at least the white supremists who are doing the research for CNN are getting credited. Yes, the Council of Concerned Citizens were named right on the tv.

Neighborhoods: Netzahuacoyotl and Ixtapaluca by Nicole Marroquin

These are amazing shots of neighborhoods in DF, Distro Federal, otherwise known as Mexico City. It is the biggest* city on earth. These photos and many more amazing ones were taken by a helicopter pilot. A lot of wealthy folks take helicopters to get around town instead of cabs. Imagine that. This guy must have some incredible stories. He sure has a great eye.
(the greater metropolitan area had the second largest population, 19.4 million as of 2006; most populated city on earth in 1519, earns the biggest city on earth title.)
